Piano

My lessons are mainly about students having fun playing. The lessons are structured in the long term, so that you ideally know how to independently study new pieces. With the help of your imagination and creativity you can make the piano pieces sound very personal and to realize that, you need technique.

From me, you learn a wide repertoire of pieces and a good basis for your technique. The progression will largely depend on your motivation, motor skills and practise, which is an indispensable preparation for the piano lesson. I emphasize classical piano literature. It is important to me that you play a piece that you find super fun but also that you learn something. I can advise anyone who wants to participate in piano competitions and prepare them, with sufficient time.

I was born in Brasov (Romania) and got my first piano lesson in Germany when I was ten years old. I did my piano studies at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg (D) and with Geoffrey D. Madge at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. During my studies, I regularly participated in master classes with well-known pianists and pedagogues at home and abroad. Peter Feuchtwanger was one of my main teachers. My classes have been strongly influenced by the Feuchtwanger Exercises.

In addition to teaching, I also regularly give concerts in the Netherlands and abroad with solo recitals, as a chamber musician or soloist with the West Chamber Orchestra in Amsterdam, with which I have performed a number of piano concerts by Mozart and Beethoven.
