Tomasz Aleksander Plusa (conductor Berlage Strijkers)

Tomasz Aleksander Plusa is a violinist, graduated from the Kiejstut and Gra┼╝yna Bacewicz conservatory in Lodz (Poland).

He has specialized in early music performance practice at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with teachers Elizabeth Wallfisch and Ryo Terakado.
He then completed his master’s program at the Utrecht Conservatory with teacher Antoinette Lohmann.
When he was in high school, he taught violin lessons, privately and at music schools.
He has discovered that the interaction and communication with young people and adults in the musical field gives him great satisfaction.

Performance and giving violin lessons are the two ways in which he likes to pursue his passion.
He regularly performs with ensembles and orchestras: Cappella Maria Barbara, Margaretha Consort, Concerto d’Amsterdam, Ars Musica, Holland Baroque, Ensemble Czech Baroque in Tiechje, Avres Serva in Portugal.

In 2016 he released his first solo album with the German composer Johann Georg Pisendel.

In 2017, he founded his own orchestra, Baroque & Beyond. They regularly perform in Europe: the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Poland and plan to tour outside Europe.

He is the conductor of the Berlage Strings.
