Guitar
I was born in 1969 and started playing the guitar at the age of eight. It soon became clear that I wanted to become a professional guitarist. After high school, I started my studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Antonio Pereira Arias, followed by two years in Zwolle with Hans de Weerd, who had a completely different technical approach to playing the guitar. In 1996 I completed my studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Jorge Oraison.
During my studies I mainly focused on the modern repertoire, for example as a guitarist in the ensemble Ínsomnio' and I gave many concerts as a song accompanist. I started teaching during my studies and still do with great pleasure. I accept students aged 8 and up.
It is important in my lessons that the student learns to read music and learns a good technique so that the student becomes independent in making music.
Individual lessons, group lessons are both possible in Dutch, English or German.
