Sidonie Riha studied violin, viola and chamber music at the “Maastricht Conservatory”, the “Musikhochschule Cologne” and the “Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.
She was a member of the ‘Deutsche Kammerakademie’, the ‘Rubens Quartet’ and the ‘Faust Quartet’ and performed with these ensembles in the ‘Opera Oslo’, the ‘Berliner Philharmonie’, ‘Konzerthaus Berlin’, ‘Guildhall London’ , ‘Concertgbouw Amsterdam’, ‘De Doelen Rotterdam’ and the ‘Dome des Invalides’ Paris. Sidonie Riha is artistic director of the “Chamber Music Ateliers Netherlands Foundation” and founder of the “Chamber Music Atelier Delft” and the “Chamber Music Atelier The Hague”.
She is regularly invited as a masterclass teacher (eg by the ‘Summer String Academy of the Indiana University Bloomington’ (USA), the ‘Barrat Due Musikkinstituut Oslo’ (N), the Conservatory of Ljubljana (SL), the International Music Camp “Cremona for strings” (I) and the ‘Orlando Festival’ (Nl).
Sidonie Riha has years of experience as a violin, viola and ensemble teacher and gives lessons with great pleasure and dedication, both to children and beginners, as well as advanced amateurs, young talent and conservatory students.
