Stefania Pigozzo, born in Pordenone (Italy) in 1992, started her music education as a child thanks to preparatory classes held in her hometown and graduated cum laude at the young age of 16 at Conservatorio Pollini in Padova.
After graduating high school, she was admitted at Conservatorio Monteverdi in Bolzano, where she earned a Master’s degree in piano performance graduating with honours. She also holds a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy from Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano) and she graduated from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, where she earned a Master of Music, Ensemble Academy specialization.

Her teachers included Lucia Grizzo, Marian Mika, Sandro D’Onofrio, Davide Cabassi and Ellen Corver.
Her diverse education background allowed her to collect experiences in different fields, focusing on both piano solo and ensemble’s repertoires, ranging from classical to contemporary music and collaborating with different departments and composers. During her academic years she had the chance to study subjects such as pedagogy and psychology, which gave her a wider and deeper perspective on music teaching.

Stefania has held concerts in different cities in Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France and the Netherlands, both as a soloist and as part of ensembles. She made her orchestral debut at the age of thirteen by playing Mozart’s K414 Concert conducted by Maestro Nicoletta Fenati, having later the possibility to perform it again with the Kiev’ Strings Orchestra conducted by Maestro Eddi De Nadai.

Stefania has taken part in numerous national and international competitions. She has received more than 20 first prizes and first overall prizes, with honourable mentions by the jury.

She has taken part in numerous Master Classes held by many prestigious pianists, such as Aldo Ciccolini, Bruno Canino, Benedetto Lupo, Riccardo Risaliti, Giorgio Lovato, Igor Roma, Paolo Bordoni, Igor Tchetuev, Tatiana Larionova, Frank Braley, David Kuyken, Severin von Eckardstein.

A hard-working and focused person, Stefania has always believed in the interconnection of artistic fields.

She is currently a faculty member at Muziekacademie Den Haag and is happy to share her insights and knowledge with both young and adult students of all levels.
