Manuel Blesgraaf is a piano and keyboard teacher at the Jay’s Place music school in Bergschenhoek and keyboard teacher at The Hague Music Academy.
Bands and acts where Manuel plays as a keyboardist or pianist are:
– The Rizzo Family, own work, pop / rock / soul from Rotterdam
– Sphère, live atmosphere and background music, various styles, Rotterdam
– Various cover bands
From the age of 18 I have played in various bands and from the age of 19 I took piano lessons with teachers such as Mark van den Beemt, Matthijs Stronks and Roger Burn. After 10 years of piano lessons, I started studying at Codarts Rotterdam in 2010. Here I was taught by Ronald Kool and Berthil Busstra. In addition to the main subject “Keys Pop” (various keyboards, synthesizers, Hammond organ, piano and other keyboard instruments together), I followed a minor in music education. In 2014 I graduated from this conservatory.
In my keyboard lessons I use existing keyboard methods and supplement the lesson by playing songs that we choose together. Fun in making music is the key. In addition, I think it is important that a good playing technique is taught with which the foundation is laid for a lot of creativity and fun.
